Patpong Red Light District
Patpong is located in Bangkok's financial district of Silom, right between Silom Road and Surawongse Road. This red light district is not only popular with tourists interested in the city's nightlife but for travelers in general looking to enjoy the sights and pick up a few souvenirs to bring home.
Patpong's go go bars start opening their doors around 6pm, about the same time its lively night market starts assembling and laid out with all sorts of counterfeit merchandise and local hand crafted goods.
Though go go bars are centered around Patpong 1 you will find numerous beer bars and a handful of up and coming go go bars on Soi 2. There is a large popular gay scene in Patpong as well.

Nana Red Light District

Most of Nana's adult entertainment is focused in a small building with 3 floors, housing a myriad of go go bars and popular beer bars on the ground floor. There is an open courtyard in the center of the building that is currently under construction. No word yet on what it will become.
Nana is where you can easily find a large contingent of freelancer ladies, whether they be Thai, some Africans and Russians and of course lady boys.
One of the most popular freelance pick up spots in the area is right outside the Nana Hotel, right in the parking lot. You can find ladies their during all times of the day. However the time that most ladies start showing up is around 9pm. The Nana Hotel is of course guest friendly.

Soi Cowboy Red Light District

This tiny strip is packed with some of the most famous go go bars in Bangkok with long standing names like Rawhide, Cowboys and Long Gun. Walking from one end to another will take you less than 5 minutes. That is if you don't get accosted by the welcome ladies and touts. Luckily they are not too aggressive.
